TCU Interior Design Association
The TCU Interior Design Association (TIDA) is a student organization designed to foster interaction between interior design majors and the industry. Any interior design major can become a member of TIDA as a part of their program of study. TIDA sponsors monthly meetings where guest speakers provide insightful information on interior design. Topics have included portfolio development, programming, latest trends in color and design and product information.
Additionally, students who become members of TIDA are eligible (but not required) to join allied professional organizations such as The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) and the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES). Students can join these additional organizations that provide an assortment of information, journals and learning opportunities such as professional meetings and conferences.
Being a member of TIDA and allied organizations is an excellent opportunity to learn important information, network with the professionals and participate in learning experiences that enhance the educational experience. It is also a valuable means to learn about internship opportunities and participation in events that enrich one's resume for internship and professional job placement.
